This Week's 3 Big Questions
1 . Will tech's "tectonic shift" into AI reorder org charts?
Microsoft just restructured, handing its sales lead Judson Althoff expanded roles in operations and marketing to let core teams focus on AI innovation.
2 . Should users expect to be "read" by AI after every chat?
Beginning December 2025, Meta will start using conversations with its chatbot to tailor ads and content-without opt-out options (except for sensitive topics)
3 . Is AI threatening to replace real human actors in Hollywood?
Particle6 introduced Tilly Norwood, an AI-generated actress built from synthetic likenesses, generating backlash from unions and actors who see this as a threat to creative labor. Will this open the door for more synthetic performers?

Your Conversations, Their Ads: Meta's New AI Policy
Starting December 16, 2025, Meta will begin utilizing user interactions with its AI chatbot to personalize advertisements and content across its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. This means that conversations with Meta's AI, whether text- based or voice will influence the ads and content users see, such as posts, reels, and group suggestions. However, users will not have the option to opt out of this data usage, except in cases involving sensitive topics like religion, politics, health, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and union membership, which will be excluded from ad targeting.
What Ringg thinks:
Privacy and transparency aren't just nice-to-haves, they're essential for building trust with users. Meta's move to use AI chat data to tailor ads, without an opt-out for most conversations, highlights a growing tension between innovation and user control. For startups, this is a big signal: if your product collects personal or conversational data, how you handle it can make or break trust with your early users. Giving people meaningful control over their data isn't just ethical-it's smart business. Create with AI Credits: Wall Street Journal, The Verge
